US$1,237.00 Louis XVI walnut folding top desk of Italian origin (Emilia Romagna), made in ca. 1770. The desk has a folding top in the upper part and wide space on the inside. A piece of the interior, once moved, hides a secret compartment (see photos no. 14 e no. 15). In the lower part there are three small drawers (of which the central one is fake) and a wide drawer. On the sides of the folding top there are two extractable shelves that allow the maintenance of the folding top itself. There are two original keys: one is only for the folding top and the other is only for the drawers. The item does not require any restoration, because it is in good overall condition, but with some signs of wear and tear of time.Period: ca. 1740.Style: Louis XVI.Material: walnut.Origin: Emilia Romagna (Italy).Condition: very good.
