**Gillermo De Angelis**

After studying architecture, philosophy and design Guillermo De Angelis dedicated himself to the photography. Guillermo De Angelis is looking for subtlety in each of his images. Focusing primarily on the composition of the image, but without any neglecting of the photographic technique, he attempts to capture scenes with a minimalistic economy of resources, known as his artistic brand. Thanks to this effect the whole impact of his works goes far beyond the pure aesthetic experience, allows the viewer to bethink himself and to fall into a reverie.

Minimalist photographs, black and white landscapes, where the absence of humans results in a state of release. The viewer has the choice to enter into a dialogue with the work or to lose oneself in his own dreams.

The composition of Guillermo De Angeli`s works is always square shaped and balanced, often with a central element, that despite his main position, does not overshadow the other elements of photograph. In many of his works a hidden horizon is the significant point. Sometimes, this is a far horizon, that invites us to a distant mind journey. Sometimes, this is a near horizon, that leads the viewer into the scene of the photograph. Although the horizon is almost never in the middle of the composition, it always plays a significant role.

Another feature of the images are the names that Guillermo De Angelis gives to each of his works. The artist leaves no random reasons and the name of each of his works is a reflection of the feeling of the obtained image. While composing his photographic series Guillermo De Angelis works with a special intention. Each of his series includes 12 to 15 photographs. Another feature of Guillermo De Angelis's work is that all photographs are always entitled. The name which the artist assigns to each of his works, is a reflection of the feeling contained in the photograph.

Under the cover of a poetic image, in which the viewer can freely interpret and feel released, the artist persistently searches for a particular beauty with the perfectionistic work of a photographer. In his works, Guillermo De Angelis offers the viewer the pleasure of taking a break from everyday life, not as an escape, but as a kind of strategy for discovering the beauty around us, that otherwise often remains unnoticed.
