Kusama : An art work interpreting Pop artShe was born in 1929 in Matsumoto in Nagano prefecture. She produced his first art works representing pop art (drawings, watercolors) in the 1950's, around repeating units derived from hallucinations of childhood, such as peas , which become his trademark. In 1957 she left Japan to live in New York for the United States where it participates indirectly in the way the movement of psychedelic and pop art . In 1960 , it launched its manifesto for the cancellation and said: "My life is a pea lost among thousands of other fish" She exposed pop art in uncommon art work which helped to gain numerous awards. Her art works in pop art shows the following photos, collages, installations, with Joseph Cornell, Jasper Johns, Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni, Claes Oldenburg and Andy Warhol She gained fame by installations with mirrors, red balloons, toys, among which she featured. Mentally retired she returned permanently to Japan in 1973, since her return, she lives in a psychiatric hospital in Tokyo His recent art works are simple paintings on cardboard displaying a simple pop art. In 2009 she signed the design of three mobiles phone to operator by the KDDI one of the top mobile industry in Japan.Acrylic on Canvas 16,1 x 12,5 in (41 x 31,8 cm)
