While exploring the town and visiting the new building sites near the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, I realised that all architectural achievements are the result of physical human effort. In this painting, I created a rhythmic pattern emphasising the tension between the tremendous load on one side and the people pulling it on the other. The masts of the sailing boats on the left and the rickshaw on the right complete the composition.
