Price: £1,500 Member's price: £1,350 To celebrate and support the new Tate Modern, we asked a geographically and culturally international group of artists to create limited edition artworks. These artists were chosen because they are in our collection and reflect what Tate Modern represents. Wolfgang Tillmans produced the limited edition artwork, Tate Modern Edition, 2016. The photographs in Tate Modern Edition were taken at a number of sites over the course of a day during the construction of the Switch House at Tate Modern. Tillmans has distorted the images to differing degrees through a process of scanning and separating colours. Wolfgang Tillmans, born 1968, is a German photographer. His diverse body of work is distinguished by observation of his surroundings and an on-going investigation of the photographic medium's foundations. Tillmans was awarded the Turner Prize in 2000. His styles encompass portraiture, documentary, still-life, landscape and more recently, a unique form of abstraction created by manipulating light on photographic paper. These works will be available in the New Tate Modern Portfolio in Autumn 2016, however a number are available to own individually now. Because these works are currently on display at Tate Modern we will send them out every four weeks as we refresh the display.
