Richard Mille RM 27-03

All the tennis fans are familiar with the Richard Mille Nadal watches. It is a result of the hand wearing the watch lifting various tennis tournament trophies. The duo (Richard Mille and Rafael Nadal) have worked together since 2010 to produce some of the top luxurious watches. Nadal set a world record after winning his 10th title in the French Open Championships. The fun fact is that Nadal does his magic on the tennis court while wearing the Richard Mille watches.

Now the Swiss watchmaker powerhouse is out to set their own record in the watchmaking industry. Are you familiar with the saying that time is money? The Duo created the world’s most expensive sports watch, and now they unveiled a $725,000 watch. The Richard Mille RM 27-03 is a masterpiece that tests all the limits of watchmaking technology. The third timepiece in the Richard Mille Nadal series by the top Richard Mille ambassadors Alexander Zverev and Rafael Nadal. Although, most people adored the first two models because they are lightweight and shock-resistant the Richard Mille RM 27-03 is timepiece of its own caliber.

The paint job of the RM 27-03 is eye-catching one can simply pass it as symbolic. Well, you are not wrong. The paint job on the tonneau-shaped case is a homage to the Spanish Champion, Rafael Nadal. A lot of time in designing and engineering the timepiece that could handle the intense and slashing strokes of Nadal. The watch is designed with Quartz TPT, and the stripping effect comes as a result of impregnating tinted resin with smooth layers of silicon. Thus, the temperature will rise to 120°C. Titanium is used in the styling of the bridges.

Although the specifications of the RM 27-03 are breathtaking, there is one that is record breaking. The tourbillon caliber can resist shocks of up to 10,000 Gs. The shock resistance is the first ever in the watchmaking world. There’s an advance shock test using the pendulum impact tester which literally slams into the watch at a force of 10,000 G. This explains why Nadal will be wearing this watch at the tournament because it can withstand the shock and sudden movements. According to Mille, the tourbillon provides constant energy flow for 70 hours.

Aside from the impressive tourbillon engineering, the timepiece is resistant to Ultra Violet rays and non-allergenic. It also can resist water of up to 50 meters. The tourbillion will also be racing at a frequency of 3Hz; I thought you should know.

However, if you have $725,000 laying around and you would like to get the record breaking sports watch here is another fact, there will be a limited edition. Only 50 people in the world will get to wear the RM 27-03. Also, the prices of the timepiece will reach the peak once Nadal lifts the Championships trophy wearing it. The technology behind the RM 27-03 is just insane, and sometimes we need crazy technology to test our limits.
