Only 46 of these incredible Rickenbacker guitars were built between 1933-36. This guitar pre-dates the patent awarded to GD Beauchamp & Adolph Rickenbacher for the first “Electric Guitar” in 1937. Fast forwarding to the year 2015 – only 5 still exists in the present.

The owner, a life long collector located in the United States, has agreed to showcase this incredible relic with LUXIFY, exclusively.  Thus, in a private sale in 1995, it sold for $2.75 million USD.

“It is hard to fathom how did this instrument change the world,” said the owner.  “The instrument would, from its conception on, sculpt the world of music & pop culture as we know it” — “Without it, half of Les Pauls late 40’s proto-type would have never come to fruition; Les borrowed many parts from the Rickenbacher models”.

This incredible relic bridged the gaps in stringed instrument manufacturing, functionality/design. In addition, the way guitar will play for the rest of history. A meager 5.5 lb of American history. In addition, this instrument spawned the birth of modern Blues, Jazz, Rock N Roll & forever changed the world of music, as we know it.

Produced by Electro String Instrument Corporation aka Rickenbacher (known today as Rickenbacker). In addition, this instrument was built with considerable collaboration between National, Dobro, Harmony, Mosrite.
