A rare, top quality leather cabin trunk by P. Romand, Paris.
Covered in thick hide of great colour, this trunk can stand vertically and when opened functions as a wardrobe, with original beechwood hangers which swing out on a hinged mechanism for ease of use. With the hangers secured, the trunk can be laid down to work well as a coffee or side table. The hinged brass and steel lock is stamped with the maker's name. The hinges and clasps all work well and keys are included. The interior has been beautifully re-lined in striped calico.
