Marked 'Auser MFG Co, 925/1000, fine sterling, 163', with a cut glass angular stopper.
This fine decanter was made by the Mauser Manufacturing Company of New York, who were in production from 1887 until 1903, when they were absorbed into Mt. Vernon silversmiths.
It is particularly unusual in having a locking mechanism to protect the contents from uninvited guests.
