This compendium was specially made for Dunhill's first shop in Paris, there is an ivory label, written "ALFRED DUNHILL LTD, FABRICATION ANGLAISE", on the drawer of the compendium. It is made of fine burr walnut with ivory edging and a bird's eye surface mounted on the top of the lid. It includes a chess game, checkers game, mah jong, dominos, chips and dice, small components in the compendium are made of horn, except for the cribbage pegs which are made of ivory.
