Andy Warhol: Skateboard Triptych Self-Portrait

US$500.00

With a face that became as iconic a piece of popular culture as the work he produced, Warhol-whose work is in the MoMA collection-was his own subject throughout his long career, understanding that his legacy and public image were as valuable as the silk screen artworks he created. His final series of self-portraits from 1986 are known as the "fright wig" portraits. This triptych of skateboard decks comes in a limited edition of 5,000\\. Hanging wall mounts included.

The Skateroom is a platform for promoting, selling and producing art on skateboards that supports youth-empowerment and development. Proceeds from this project will benefit Skateistan, an award-winning, international NGO with projects in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa. Skateistan is the first international development initiative to combine skateboarding with educational outcomes.
