COMPLETE MEG TOOTH, LARGE SPECIMEN

US$475.00

This awesome 5.1 inch fossil shark tooth (_Carcharocles megalodon_) is from Beaufort County, South Carolina. It's an excellently preserved, complete tooth with serrations, pointed tip and killer shape overall! No restoration.

_Megalodon_ was the largest predatory fish to ever swim the oceans. Scientists estimate that _Megalodon_ measured approximately 10 feet for every inch of shark tooth length. Fully-grown megs were absolute monsters, measuring up to 60 feet long!

Astonishingly, _Megalodon_ bite marks have been found in whale bones.

Age: Pliocene Epoch, 5.3 to 2.6 million years old.

This great fossil shark tooth measures precisely 5.1 inches long at largest slant (13.1 cm) and 3.6 inches wide (9.2 cm). Weighs 274 grams (9.7 oz).

Plastic stand included.
