Cusenier produced Absinthe untill it was banned in most European countries. According to David (Finest and Rarest) it was the most appreciated and best selling Absinthe of it's time, outranking Pernod. This reproduction was available in limited numbers between 1999 and 2001.

Cusenier is a French producer of spirits, founded in 1868 by Eugène Cusenier. Cusenier remained independ until 1977 when Pernod-Ricard made them a offer they could not refuse.
