The hallmarks of The Glenrothes are quality and purity, evident in the beautifully balanced, elegant and well mannered single malt with peerless texture, perfectly expressed by this single cask bottling. The refill hogshead cask was filled on 10th July 1969. The cask yielded 133 bottles at a natural strength of 42.9% alcohol by volume. The multi-faceted lead crystal decnter itself is, naturally, hand-cut by Portuguese manufacturer Atlantis Crystals, closed with a stopper made from the very same cask in which the whisky matured for so many years.
