The Karuizawa Distillery was established in 1955 in the foothills of Mount Asama – an active volcano. The area is a popular mountain resort and the distillery is the highest in Japan at 850m above sea level. Everything from Karuizawa is really good.
This particular 50 year old bottle from Karuizawa was distilled in 1963 and matured in its cask for 50 years. The bottle is beautifully engraved with only 131 bottles ever released. Comes in a wooden presentation case. A very rare Karuizawa. Grab it while it's still here!
