Arkansas, USA, is home to the Rock Town Distillery, founded by Phil Brandon in 2010. Plenty of the ingredients they use comes from inside the state, including portions of the corn, wheat and rye used in their whiskeys, as well as the barrels used to mature it - they’re coopered in Arkansas, too. As seen on the label of our Rock Town, they also use genuine Arkansas lightning, summoned by Phil himself, to char the barrels so they’re ready to mature they bourbon. He’s like the Thor of bourbon production, Phil is.

Tasting notes:

Nose: Corn-on-the-cob with plenty of black pepper and butter, caramel apples and cacao nibs.
Palate: More of everything from the nose, though now the warmth of the oak comes through cleaner.
Finish: A whiff of tobacco and salted chocolate.
