Case Study Dining Chair

US$345.00

The Case Study Series is based on a 1955 design by George Nelson. Nelson designed the original pieces with handsome, clean, and angular lines. His design was a direct reflection of the progressive aesthetics of The Case Study House Program which was happening at the time.
The Case Study House Program was established in 1945 by the editor of Arts and Architecture magazine; John Entenza. The program commissioned architects to design simple and innovative modern homes for a growing post-war housing market. The Case Study House Program ran intermittently until 1966 and produced 36 home projects. Its significance and prestige broadly influenced architecture and furniture design.
Modernica being at the forefront of rediscovering and re-launching out-of-production pieces has revitalized George Nelson’s design which previously had only been available to a select few collectors. Modernica is committed to following strict adherences to the original design with regards to dimensions, frame construction, and materials — making these significant pieces an accessible and affordable luxury.
Built without any compromise to the original specifications and construction, the Case Study Series is offered in 30 fabric and leather choices.
Manufactured in Los Angeles, CA
