Serge Roche was a French designer and artist was the son of a renowned painter and art dealer, a situation that enabled him to meet artists such as Picasso, Renoir or Pissarro from a young age. Fascinated by frames and mirrors, he conceived objects and furniture often made of mirrored elements and with as strong baroque feel. His stucco and mirror creations played with light effects and reflections that reconsidered the place of ornaments in modern interiors. Far from the modernist movement, his signature approach was often named the 'Panache style'.
