Louis Weisdorf, the renowned Danish architect and designer, created this _Konkylie_ pendant in 1963. It was produced by lighting manufacturer Lyfa as from 1964.

_Konkylie_ consists of 12 thin metal slats that, elegantly bent, form a conch-like shape. The geometric structure allows the pendant to emit an amazing light effect. The striking design with the gold-anodized outer is equally beautiful when unlit.

Weisdorf designed four versions of _Konkylie_. We have the gold-anodized with two shades of orange inside in our collection. This stunning version was originally designed for the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.

Should you like to know more about the origin of Lyfa, we have published an article on the [**history of the company**](http://www.palainco.com/discover/item/lyfas-logo-dates-back-prehistoric-times/) in the Discover section of our website.

The height of the lamp is 40 cm / 16 inch and the diameter 40 cm / 16 inch.
