White adjustable floor lamp Model 626 by Joe Colombo for O-Luce, 1970s

US$1,096.31

In 1970 Joe Colombo designed _Model 626_, a floor lamp immediately nicknamed 'Alogena' or 'Colombo'.

According to Marco Romanelli, author of the book 'Joe Colombo: Lighting Design + Interior Design', _Model 626_ "was the first domestic light with a halogen light bulb and its design came in response to the invention of the new light source."

O-Luce is the producer of _Model 626_. The reflector of the lamp can be adjusted from low to high levels along the tall stand (210 cm). The heavy base of the lamp (about 10 kilos) ensures balance.

The dimmer is integrated in the lamp head, however as from the beginning the manufacturer had issues with it. That is why this lamp comes with a separate floor switch with a dimmer included.

The lamp can be disassembled, making it easy to transport. The mounting instructions by O-Luce will be included.
