_Tokio_ is a modern table lamp by the Japanese designer Shigeaki Asahara for Italian lighting manufacturer Stilnovo, designed in 1980.

The height of this halogen table lamp is adjustable with a maximum height of 64 cm. _Tokio_ features a mailbox-like shade supported by four adjustable arms, which allow to move the lamp in each direction. The dimmer, a sliding switch, is incorporated in the base of the lamp.

The lamp is in mint condition (new old stock). The height of the lamp is 64 cm / 26 inch, the width is 10 / 4 inch and the depth 13.5 cm / 6 inch.

We also have two Samurai table lamps (one in red and black and one in black) and three Samurai floor lamps (two in black and one in white) by Shigeaki Asahara in our collection.

The _Tokio_ table lamp is described in 'Repertoire del Design Italiano 1950-2000' by Giuliana Gramigna on Page 293 (1980).
