Gentner's Ribbon Stool is an eloquent exercise in minimalism and tension. When conceiving the piece - which can also work as a side table - the designer asked: what is the least amount of material one can use while creating a comfortable resting place?

With its fluid simplicity, the Ribbon stool brilliantly answers this design challenge evincing a striking sense of architecture levity. Due to its visual lightness, the stool is extremely versatile, suitable for a range of environments or featured as a piece of sculpture in its own right.

Founding his eponymous label in 2011, Christopher Gentner, a trained metal smith, has focused on synthesizing the worlds of sclupture, craftsmanship and design. The studio takes an elemental approach, using metal as a jumping off point to create original furniture that's expressive, visually precise, seductive and artful.
