Using a 3D design on his computer, he makes line drawings in layers. A robot follows these lines and then builds the chair, in three and a half hours, “in profile”.The robot is fed material from (old) fridges which have been ground up under great pressure. This allows the robot to produce the glowing hot strands that make up the chair.Dirk’s collection of products “written” by the robot has expanded considerably and now also includes the Chubby series.
