Chequered Flag International is pleased to offer this 1959 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud I, left hand drive, long wheel base without division. Finished in Mason's Black over Silver with Gray leather interior and only 70,212 miles. Sold new to Mrs. Georgiana Mahony of Greenwhich, Connecticut and later bought for the collection of Dan Cathy, president of Chick-Fil-A who owned it many years until last month. Factory equipped with power steering. The customer supplied leather hides for the seats which were ordered to be finished in 'plain trim', ie. without the delineated stitching they normally come with - see build sheet. Lovely rust and accident free body with very attractive paint. Very good original interior but the base of the driver's seat is cracking a little. Mechanically seems to be superb. Drives very well with good power, trans, steering, brakes, etc. Trunk has a pretty full compliment of parts, the tool kit appears to be unused. We have the factory build history, some of which is below. These really need to be left hand drive to be good as most right hand drive cars seem to be rough and rusty. A Cloud I is a superior engine to a Cloud II in that it's reliable and doesn't suffer from the rear piston issue that the early V8's have. The LWB is great and without division is the way to go because the front seat goes back unlike the division cars. Another plus is the rear quarter windows open on the LWB. Really, this Cloud I LWB is the one to own. Inspections encouraged. All sales AS-IS. Sales tax and license fees due if delivered in California.
