1961 Aston Martin DB4 Series 3

US$511,265.00

- Stunning original colour scheme
- Refurbished original factory leather from 1963, still remarkably well preserved with no cuts or tears etc
- Drives beautifully
- Matching numbers with factory overdrive

Originally delivered under registration plate 5678 JW to Mr J H Kartz of Benson Bond Ltd, Erdington 19th May 1961 as Caribbean Blue trimmed in white gold Connolly hide with extras listed as chrome wheels and overdrive. Duplicate buff log book shows it moving from the Midlands to Gordon James Withers in Putney, London in 1966, then in the 1980s had a brief spell in Ontario, before returning to the UK in 1989.

In 2000 Aston specialist Johnathan M Wardle in Staffordshire was commissioned to rebuild the engine, gearbox and braking systems with detailed invoices totalling £30k.

With only 1,110 DB4s manufactured across all 5 series, prices of DB4s are going skywards, we are delighted to offer this most useable and exceptionally original series 3 DB4. Two large history files from its last owner of 20 years, show extensive mechanical attention. With options to preserve/drive or improve, this great driving Aston certainly represents an investment with prices of restored cars in excess of £500k.
