1967 ASTON MARTIN DB6 SHOOTING BRAKE BY RADFORD ‘1 OF 6 MANUFACTURED’

Price On Request

Roman Purple with Natural hide, Original LHD, Factory Air, Automatic gearbox, 64,000 Original-One family owned miles from new, fully numbers matching, factory New York Auto Show car.

DB6SB/2511/LC is one of only six Radford built Shooting Brake DB6 models.

Imported through J.S. Inskip, the Aston Martin importer for the United States, this DB6 Shooting Brake was used at the factory New York Auto Show car. It was purchased directly from the Aston Martin company stand and from well-known Aston Martin North America representative, Rex. J. Woodgate "The King of Prussia" by Mr. S. Tananbaum - Tanbro Fabric Corporation of Fifth Avenue, New York.

One of just six DB6 Shooting Brake models constructed by Radford Coachbuilders, well known for their bespoke coach-built motorcars for the rich and famous, this particular car was ordered new with a very high specification. Finished in Roman Purple coachwork with Natural hide, LHD steering, factory air conditioning, Borg Warner Auto transmission, Limited Slip Differential, Chrome wheels, Fiam Air Horns, Twin Marchal Fog Lamps, Bosch Koln Radio and Power Operated aerial.

The purchase price was $22,500, a copy of the original invoice is on file, which was almost three times the cost of a 'standard' DB6 Coupe! Amazingly this car has remained in the same family ownership from new, that's forty nine years in the same ownership!

Lovingly cared for and maintained on a regular basis, this superb original example and has never been restored and is in incredible preserved condition today, retaining its original engine, gearbox and interior. Autosport Designs Inc. have been appointed to sell on behalf of the family and this is the first time this car has ever been offered for sale.

This Shooting Brake represents an unrepeatable opportunity for the serious Aston Martin collector. Incredibly rare and with unquestionable provenance and originality, never offered for sale and just one family owned from new, this is quite possibly the last Shooting Brake on the planet with these credentials and would be welcome entrant at the majority of the world's most exclusive classic motoring events.
