Citroën - DS 23 Pallas Injection Electronique - 1973

US$20,069.70

The ID/DS remained in production until 1975 coming in many different designs, ever more luxurious and with a more powerful engine. By successively boring the engine block, more powerful versions were conceived; the 20, 21 and 23. Starting from model year 1970, the DS also became available with an electronically regulated fuel injection developed by Bosch (D-Jetronic): the DS 23 injection électronique (available from September 1972) had an engine size of 2347 cc and delivered 141 SAE HP. A very luxurious version of the DS was also delivered under the type-designation ‘Pallas’. The seats were upholstered more attractively, (optionally also with brown or black leather) and equipped with thick internal cushions, made of ‘Dunlopillo’ foam rubber. This particular Citroën DS 23 Pallas Injection Electronique with semi-automatic transmission was built in the year 1973 and is fitted with a black leather interior. The previous owner cherished the car for 15 years. The engine is equipped with a 123-injection and different parts of the hydraulic system have been renewed in recent years. The exhaust is new and the tyres are 90%. In terms of the engine, the car runs fine, switches like it should and the Dutch Periodic Vehicle Inspection is valid up to and including April 1, 2019.The paintwork is neat, has some signs of wear, a blister on the left front screen (see picture). The Interior is neatly ‘worn’ with signs of wear and damage on the front right entry sill. The bottom is solid and well preserved. The combination of ‘injection’ and semi-automatic transmission makes this car extra special. In short: a very special car to be used as a classic as well as daily driver, a fine investment. We can help arrange worldwide transport, please get in touch for more information without obligation.
