The car has been stored for more than 50 years in a dry garage protected from the weather (see photos 167), it has therefore been perfectly preserved and has no structural rust, only surface rust, which makes it a great restoration base or to leave it with its beautiful 84 year patina.The car was bought new in Spain and has only had one owner since then (see photo 147). The car was used as taxi in the Catalan city of Lleida for a few years. It still keeps both the taxi number plates as well as the original license plate. When the owner died, the family kept it in a garage to the present day.The car is in a fully original condition. The bodywork and chassis are preserved without structural rust or accidents. We even believe that the paintwork is original, although we can not verify it. The DS model was the most luxurious of the Dodge catalogue, with a longer chassis and spare wheels on the front fins.The engine and other mechanical components (as the owner's family explained) worked perfectly at the time that the vehicle was stored. They obviously need an overhaul after so many years. The interior is preserved in an exceptional condition considering the car’s age and is fully original.The car is in Barcelona, Spain.
