Ferrari - 308 GTB - 1978

US$61,300.00

The car is the US version. The car was produced in September 1978 and admitted on the road in 1979 (the registration certificate mentions 1979 as year of admission). The previous owner lived in England and has purchased the car in 1989 after the car was imported from the USA. I have imported the car from England to the Netherlands in 1994. I am the owner since 24 years. The history is known since 1989; invoices are present since 1994.The car looks pretty good at first glance. Technically reliable, as far as I know. There has been a lot of maintenance and overhaul: to the engine, gearbox, clutch, suspension and electronics. The body should be refurbished I drive the car regularly, except during the winter. The car has been serviced by a Ferrari-specialist since 1998. Since 1994 EUR 55,000 was spent on maintenance and overhaul. The car was appraised in October 2015 by car appraiser Maikel de Munnik and valued at EUR 50,000. According to the appraiser the car was maintained ‘good and expertly’In detail:Bodywork: corrosion on the bottom of the doors, and at various places. Signs of wear. A few small dents. The sills were renewed in 2009. That has been done very well, but the restorer forgot to mount the Pininfarina-plate on the body. During this restoration the lower part of the body has been repainted in the original yellow colour. Is slightly different in the colour yellow from the rest of the body, but that is not noticeable at first glance. The part of the bodywork that has not been repainted in 2009 shows crackle. The exterior mirror on the right has been mounted outside the original mounting for reasons of usability; which is visible. Windshield seals glued sloppily. The door on the right doesn’t fit properly. Door rubbers damaged.Interior: in used condition. The upholstery of the seats is not original. No floor mat on the left side. Screws in door panel are not original. Radio is defective. Clock is defective. Air conditioning disassembled. New headlining.Engine: according to the car appraiser: the engine is original; engine compartment is in a good and clean condition. The annual maintenance was done in September 2017, the timing belt was renewed and new spark plugs were mounted.Petrol pump makes noise, but that's been the case since 24 years. Oil fumes from exhaust. Oil consumption: less than 1 litre per 1000 km.Gearbox: according to appraiser: original and in a well maintained condition. The seal rings were renewed in September 2017 Clutch overhauled in 2009.Brakes. According to the appraiser: braking system is in a good condition and is well maintained. The brake fluid is renewed in September 2017.Wheel suspension is neat. Original Cromodora wheels. Hub caps are missing.Tyres renewed in 2016: Vredestein Sprint Classic 205/70 R14 95V.
