The Boxer is one the great 'poster cars' of the 1970s and 1980s, it's the epitome of what a Ferrari supercar should be - a 12-cylinder engine at the back, low, wide and aggressive - and it looks as good today as it did back then. These cars have seen their market value rise rapidly in the past few years, and we see the market moving dramatically upward now on 70's, 80's and some 90's modern classics.

Only 1,007 BB 512i models were produced worldwide, making it one of the lowest production "modern era" 12 cylinder Ferraris, and one of the most undervalued Italian Supercars of the Enzo Ferrari era.

Ours is a low mileage 512 BBi, LHD, first registered in 1984 and now UK Registered. The car has only travelled 19,800 miles from new and the condition of the whole car is commensurate with the extremely low mileage. Finished in its original colour scheme of Rosso Corsa with the original Crema leather interior. Luxurious carpets embossed with the Ferrari prancing horse line the foot-well and remain in fantastic condition, as does the Black top roll. Additionally, the Ferrari includes its original Pioneer stereo and equalizer.

The Ferrari 512 BBI formed part of an important collection for many years and has always been cherished and maintained by the managers of the collection. Our 512 BBI is in fantastic working order, having recently completed a full service including cam belts.

Driving this car is exhilarating; powered by a 5 litre, 12-cylinder engine the recorded top speed of the BBI is 174mph, although claims were made that it is even faster than that. Considered by many to be one of the best all-round sports cars, the fuel-injected engine produced cleaner emissions and offered a better balance of performance and daily-driver temperament. A 5-speed manual gearbox provides smooth gear changes making the 512 BBI a real pleasure to drive in all situations.

Undoubtedly one of the finest examples on offer, the 512BBi is still way under-valued when compared to other top flight Ferraris.

Ferrari Classiche certification is currently in progress.
