We believe the word barn find is invented in the United States. So where can you find a better barn find than in the United States. This car comes from its 1st owner. The chassis is in a good condition with only some surface rust. The body has been painted only once and is therefore sleek and neat, there is, however, a very small damage on the front. I have never seen such an original Djet, all of the original details are present and it has never been restored, it is still the same as when the factory built it. Unfortunately, the engine and gearbox are missing, but these are standard Renault parts and thus not hard to find. It hasn’t been driven in 40 years and therefore the odometer reading of 35,000 km seems original. The original US title and bill of sale are present with the car. Only about 1700 Djets were produced by René Bonnet and Matra and it is known as the first manufactured car with a central engine (mid-mounted engine). So this is a rare car, in an even rarer condition. This is chassis number 10215. Many parts are readily available through the club RBMS, both NOS as well as new production.
