Peter Monteverdi was already well known in international motor sport when, in 1967, he launched a range of road cars under his own name, created to a classic formula: A torquey American V8, a bespoke chassis reflecting motor racing experience, and beautiful Italian styling.

The 375L was a 2+2 GT beautifully designed by Pietro Frua, with a Fissore built body, a 7.2 litre Chrysler engine and drivetrain, and a Monteverdi tubular frame with coil spring and double wishbone front suspension and a De Dion rear axle. It is a truly remarkable luxury supercar.

First registered in the UK to Mrs Alison Entwistle, wife of John Entwistle who was a member of the band "The Who." He did not have a driving license but loved cars, owned many and according to a letter from another previous owner, John was particularly fond of this beautiful example. The Monteverdi was also owned by Sir Jack Stewart-Clark a Conservative Euro MP.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase one of the rarest RHD supercars on the planet. It is thought there were only 6, Monteverdi 375L's manufactured in Right Hand Drive.

Our Monteverdi is finished in a stunning 70's colour combination of Bronze metallic with Champagne Connoly leather interior and wooden trimmed centre console. The car is in exceptional condition throughout having undergone a very costly and detailed restoration including complete bare metal repaint, all chrome redone, a fabulous re-trim by Surrey Trimming ltd, one of the UK'S top restorers, mechanically overhauled, the original magnesium alloy wheels refurbished, new tyres, etc, etc. The 375L was both luxurious and powerful, with a top speed of over 150mph and a 0-60 time in 6.3 seconds.
