Rolls-Royce 20HP 1927

US$60,000.00

- 4-year restoration costing $150,000
- One of very few examples remaining worldwide
- Extensive history including photographs, receipts and correspondence.
- Evidence of one previous owner dating back to 1968.

This unique Rolls-Royce is one of only a handful remaining world-wide and presents in excellent restored condition. The 4-year restoration was carried out by Vintage Garage, NSW and cost over $150,000. Presenting in an alloy body over a red leather interior, this outstanding example has been meticulously kept by its previous owners.

Featuring a 3.1L inline-6 engine, this example remains a pleasure to drive after a life of excellent maintenance. The drivability of this example has been drastically improved by replacing the heavy saloon body with an all-aluminium body during the restoration process. The results are stunning both mechanically and aesthetically.

Accompanying this vehicle is a large history file including its Owner’s Manual, detailed receipts and photographs of the restoration process, and correspondence form the single previous owner dating back to 1968.

Designed to appeal to the owner-driver market, the 20HP was marketed as an entry level luxury vehicle. Introduced in 1922 and well suited to the economic conditions of the day, the Twenty proved a remarkable success, becoming the first in a line of smaller horsepower models sold alongside the Phantoms in the period leading up to the Second World War. Today, the unique appeal of these models has rendered them highly desirable and collectable.
