Pontiac Chieftain Custom Deluxe Eight Catalina Hardtop Coupé (1953)
US$57,642.80 Unique Pontiac Chieftain Custom Deluxe Eight Catalina Hardtop Coupé in concourse condition. This model was only available in 1953\. Recognisable by its rear 'bubbled fins, the one-piece windshield, a "panoramic" windshield adorning the rear and no window styles, it certainly made for its hardtop coupé look! This absolute top Deluxe version has a straight eight cylinder 122 Hp 4.4 flathead engine with a Hydra-Matic Drive automatic transmission. Driving this car is as pleasurable as it is easy, with everything in good working order. From 2010 to 2013 a nearly € 94,000 full restoration and mechanical rebuilt took place. A renowned Dutch specialist restorer carried it out, with about 1,000 photos documenting the process from start to finish! The bodywork is sublimely wonderful with all the curves and seams in the right place. The chrome details are brilliant. The rust-free underbody is as good as new. The aftercare has kept the car in concourse condition. The care and attention to detail makes this Chieftain certainly worthy of its name!
