The 1961 Corvette boasted a new rear end "ducktail" look that made way for 20 percent more room behind the driver as storage space. The 1961 Corvettes were the last Corvettes available with body side coves in a contrasting hue, a mere $16.15 option that most buyers ordered. With a base price of $3,934, standard features included windshield washers, sun visors, a thermostatically controlled radiator fan, and a parking-brake warning light. This beautiful '61 Corvette went through a restoration in 2008 which included: Repaint, Engine Rebuild, New Date Stamp Correct Glass, Front Disc Brake Conversion, Updated Headlights, New Seat Covers and Carpet to name a few things. This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by its original rebuilt 283 CID V8 engine and is backed by a Borg Warner T10 4-speed manual transmission. Options on this 1961 Chevrolet Corvette for sale include: AM/FM Radio with Ipod Hookup, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Hub Caps, White Wall Radial Tires, and Manual Convertible Top.
