Geographic position
The Medieval Castle in Todi was built around the year 1000.
The panoramic location, with a magnificent view over Todi, was actually a strategic choice: the Tower of the castle was in fact part of a system of towers made from the alert function in the case of dangers for the city.
Over the centuries the building lost its function and in the late 90s was purchased, fully renovated, restored with great attention and transformed into a prestigious and comfortable residence.

Todi is just 8 km away, while other important towns of Umbria as Orvieto (32 km), Perugia (50 km) and Spoleto (55 km) can be reached in less than an hour by car, Orvieto and Città della Pieve in just a few minutes.
The nearest airport is that of Perugia, 52 km away, while the international airports of Rome Ciampino (155 km) and Rome Fiumicino (173 km) are located approximately 2 hours by car.

Description of buildings
The property is composed by the castle of gross area (including also the old city walls) of 671 square meters, and four outbuildings of agricultural use of 35, 39, 40 and 50 sqm.

The castle was used as a charming home, is spread over several levels, of which the first three are connected with internal elevator.
The ground floor is the large living/dining room with fireplace, kitchen and a bathroom for guests.

The first floor, reached by internal stairs, with elevator or a separate entrance from the outside, is composed by a large living room divided by a double archway supported by one column.
Still on this level but with independent access from the inner courtyard, we find a private double bedroom with private bathroom.

On the second floor, the sleeping area comprises three bedrooms with private bathrooms and a study / library on two levels from which you can access the tower with a sitting room and bathroom on the third floor and a further bedroom with balcony on the fourth floor.

The four annexes of the surface of 35, 39, 40 and 50 square meters have destination to warehouse / garage tools and are only a short distance from the castle.

State and finishing
The Castle has been restored and is in excellent condition.
Inside we find terracotta tiled floors, wooden and terracotta ceilings, stone fireplaces, even in the rooms, and original wooden framing.

External areas
The property is surrounded by 1.7 hectares of land with an Italian style garden, partly bordered by high stone walls. Within it we find the classic elements of this garden type: hedges, fountains and pergolas that, thanks to the magnificent view, create an impressive scenic effect.
In a private position and facing south-west we find the swimming pool of 10x5 m size.
