The Daimler DB18 was first introduced in 1939 as a luxury saloon or convertible that was primarily aimed at the wealthy, elite and global monarchs.Production ceased during World War II but started again in 1946.

The Special Sports variant of the DB18, is a luxury drop-head coupe and utilised a 2.5L inline 6-cylinder engine with twin SU carburettors producing 85bhp and a top speed of 86mp/h. This was paired to the unique Daimler fluid flywheel and the 4-speed pre-selector gearbox. Unique to the model, it featured a sideways facing single rear seat.

A total production number of 608, the DB18 Special Sports were produced from 1946-1953.

This vehicle was originally sold new in Australia in 1951. Much of its early history is unknown however the car has spent much of its life in Queensland with the previous owner. During his ownership the car, it underwent a full ground up meticulous restoration to original factory specification.

The body work and trim both present immaculately with the engine and pre-selector gearbox both performing flawlessly. There is an accompanying receipt and history file from previous ownership.
