In 1930 the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS was the brand’s most competent race car. The automobile benefitted form Vittorio Jano’s exemplary engineering and design direction. One of the most impressive features of the 1750 GS was a 6-cylinder in-line engine that operated at a maximum output of 85hp to 102 hp depending on which model it was (some had their cylinder heads welded). Regardless of whether the vehicle generated 85 hp or 102 hp, it was invisible. It was light, agile, and powerful. The 1750 GS dominated the race track and won many victories including the 1930 and 1931 Mille Miglia.
