This is a wonderful large antique English George III silver cylindrical tankard with hallmarks for London, 1762 and the makers mark of W & R Peaston. The tankard has a hinged raised cover with scroll thumb piece, it has a bold scroll handle with heart shaped terminal and a moulded skirted base. There are beautifully engraved initials that are difficult to decypher. There is no mistaking its unique quality and design, which is sure to make it a treasured piece of any discerning collector.
