This tumbler set is a collaborative effort between Austrian glass manufacturer J. & L. Lobmeyr, engraver Pavlína Čambalová, and photographer Andrew Zuckerman. The iconic glass tumblers, from a bar set entitled "Drinking Set No. 248," were designed by architect Adolf Loos in 1931\\. Čambalová etched five species of exotic birds: the Spix's Macaw, Lear's Macaw, Blue-Throated Macaw, Blue-and-Yellow Macaw, and the Scarlet Macaw, all based off of Zuckerman's photography. The imagery is placed on the base of the glass to create an interactive element: one enjoys a fleeting glimpse of the engraved design as one tips the glass toward their face.
