This is an Early French Chinoiserie-style secretaire. Has a colorful beveled marble top, solid wood body, covered with design veneers in a rich two tone mahogany color. Ormolu gilt bronze accents on the top corners, bottom center and on the serpentine front legs. The folding top and the two bottom doors have, beautiful hand paintings of Chinese scenes, homes, landscape, ocean, women in kimonos. Folding top has a center gilt bronze keyhole, and each door has one bronze gild keyhole as-well. The inside features original burgundy embossed leather top, with two top cubbyholes and mirror on the bottom that can be used as storage or a shelve. The bottom has two doors with one wood shelve. Locks and key are in great working condition. Secretaire is ready to be used and enjoyed for many years to come.
