The two artists photograph dramatically beautiful landscapes, including the American West, and more particularly the Rockies and Sierra Nevada regions. Yva Momatiuk and John Eastcott appointed themselves the mission of revealing the sublime and untamed character of Nature. The artistic couple play the role of mediators between Nature and Humanity. They hope that Humanity, in the face of the grandeur and power of Nature, will find no other solution than that of meditation. Based on the principle that people protect what they love, the two photographers wish to share with the public their awe of a natural world that is as beautiful as it is surprising.
