In 1973 the successful race driver Adrian Reynard founded Sabre Automotive Ltd. which evolved to Reynard Motorsports Cars. The UK based company successfully built race cars for Formel Ford, Formel Opel, Formel 3, Formel 3000 and Champ-Car series. In all race car series they entered a new car, it won the first race. 2002 the company became insolvent. More than 1000 Reynatds were built. 38 of the Reynard 92d were built for the 1993 season of Formula 3000, Formula Nippon and Formula Holden. The Reynard offered was very successful in french hillclimbing with Bernard Chamberod and Fabien Frantz. Ca. 500 Km's ago the engine was reconditioned under the supervision of Heini Mader.
