**Sognot Louis** (1892 - 1970) is decorator and designer. First protagonist of Cubism and Modern Movement , it will stand out away from the radicalism of Functionalism to affirm a certain idea of comfort and quality; this singular position explains his dual involvement both as a member of the Union of decorators, designers, contractors (UADCE) and the "Union des Artistes Modernes" then, later, his involvement in the Institute of Industrial Design.
