PRODUCT INFORMATION

DETAILED PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This handsome watch belongs to part of a large private collection for many years and is only put up for sale now for the first time since early 2000 while we sold a yellow gold version of this for the same owner last year. This watch bears a double digit serial number 40 which is engraved on the back cover while the Ferrari horse & characters are stamped and black enamelled onto the solid gold back. This was one of the most complicated chronograph of it's time by GP in the late 1990s and only a limited numbers were made. It is further engraved on the back "série limitée numérotée" & although not a limited edition, it is a limited production model. This gorgeous Girard Perregaux Chronographe à Rattrapante was produced under contract with Ferrari SpA. The contract lasted for ten years from 1994 to 2004 and had a short stint with Panerai but is now with Hublot. Somehow, collectors have found this collection by *Girard Perregaux *to be more appealling.
