This was the entry model for Rolex, the Ref.6694 served for a good 3 decades before calling it a day and they were fitted with acrylic crystal and a workhorse manual winding movement. It has the legendary Oyster case shutting out dust and moisture which safeguards it's movement and many are still serving their owners as a daily watch today. The date does not have quick-set function and power reserve typically lasts about 40hrs+/-. This example dates back to 1975 and is fitted with an improved high-beat 21600 movement which offers better accuracy. It has been polished to factory spec. The bracelet is a period correct folded Oyster version in steel with a signed deployant buckle. The dial has some very interesting markings unseen before and could be a special commission from Rolex on behalf of The Swiveller's Shop or it could simply be a customised dial but it is done in great care, adhering to factory quality. There is a black cross line with 12hours printed in blue similar to military dials (usually in 24hrs) & below the center column, its is printed S.N.M.T. Project with a red winged figure. The Tritium are aged to an ivory colour.
