DESCRIPTION

Antique 19th Century Austrian solid silver & cloisonne enamel pair of coffee cups and saucers, each part gilt and beautifully enamelled with varicolor flowers, scrolling foliage, Islamic calligraphy, stylized scroll handle. Made especially for the Ottoman market.

Each part is Hallmarked Austrian silver (800 standard), Vienna, year 1867-1922, Maker's mark G.A.S (Georg Adam Scheid, active from 1862), Also bears Ottoman retail marks.
