Stunning plaster tondo from Italy (20th century). High sculptural and pictorial quality, with great references to Art Deco. Saint Matthew the Evangelist is portrayed in his classic human version (angelic) as part of the tetramorph.Very large, with a diameter of approximately 90 cm (in two attached photos the tondo is near a 1 euro coin as a comparison). The tondo is made of plaster with a lighter core (the type of core is impossible to verify without breaking the work). It is in good condition with some signs of wear and tear of time and some old restorations.Shipping only within the EEC.
