US$2,592.91 **Our Stock # LFA-1464**This is an antique, Edwardian Davenport dating to the early 20th century, circa 1910. - Raised on the original ceramic castors and slender tapered legs, the front legs slightly swept, this fine example displays good grain detail and a smooth waxed finish. - Expertly inlaid with garland and vase motif to the cupboard door, drawer front and stationery lid, panels are framed with boxwood stinging. The writing surface features a gold, twin tooled olive skiver. - The writing surface raises from horizontal and locks to a sloped angle for comfort, a button to the rear releasing it again. To the rear a lid lifts to reveal a stationery compartment complete with a removable pen tray, four compartments and a pair of glass ink wells with onyx lids. - Beneath the top a single, full width frieze drawer is dressed with elaborate brass handles with further storage in the cupboard below behind working lock and key.
