Robert Doisneau's 1951 _La Fuite des Maries_captures an eloping couple on the run. Escaping responsibility and expectation, they move through haystacks with a suitcase in tow. Together the blurred figures are romantically and mysteriously whisked away by moonlight. Doisneau, perhaps best known for his iconic _Le Baiser de l'Hotel de Ville_ (1950), was a master at capturing unique scenes of intimacy and affection.
